As aSwim School Operations Assistant, or as we like to call Deck Ambassador, you’re the on-deck position who keeps everything running smoothly. From setting up the pool deck for safe and successful swim lessons to interacting with families and kids, your role is all about support, organization, and teamwork. What You’ll Do Your job is to keep the pool deck running smoothly before, during, and after swim lessons. You’ll help instructors and team members stay organized and ready while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for our students. + Set up and tear down the pool deck before and after lessons + Take pool chemical readings before lessons + Take attendance and interact with students and families during lessons + Keep the deck clean, safe, and organized during lessons + Help with class transitions and student flow on deck + Restock supplies and prep materials as needed + Assist with safety checks (e.g., water toys, traffic flow, basic pool area tidiness) + Support instructors and deck staff with operational needs Requirements of the job + A dependable, proactive attitude + Ability to work in a team + High school diploma or in the process of completion + Comfortable around water (no in-water responsibilities) + Able to be on your feet for 3-4 hours and lift equipment up to 25 lbs **Lifeguard experience is preferred but not required About Us British Swim School is a mission-driven swim school that teaches water safety and survival skills to students of all ages. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach. We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool.
