Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SWD Operator to manage all aspects of our saltwater disposal well sites in Jal, NM. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of facilities, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining equipment integrity. The ideal candidate will have experience in SWD operations, water transfer, and leak detection.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Operations & Maintenance:

Monitor and maintain SWD injection well sites, ensuring compliance with safety and policy procedures.

Inspect and maintain pumps, including H-Pumps, charge, and transfer pumps; replace seals as needed.

Gauge and thief tanks to verify oil, water, and basic sediment content.

Coordinate with truck drivers for tank movements and skimming operations.

Enter daily readings and data into the Evin system accurately.

Water Transfer & Leak Detection:

Operate and monitor water transfer pumps, ensuring proper flow rates and line pressures.

Clean Y-strainers and purge lines as necessary.

Conduct leak detection on risers and facility pumps; replace components with stainless steel or poly materials to reduce future leak risks.

Maintain cleanliness of all facilities, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure all safety equipment, such as wind socks, are visible and in good condition.

Verify that all signage on tanks, pumps, and filter pots is present and legible.

Notify all affected personnel of any changes or troubleshooting activities, maintaining clear communication.

Keep facilities clean and free from debris.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a Lease Operator or in water transfer operations.

Background in rig-up and frac operations.

Experience in pumping labor or supervision.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
