SW Engineer Internship - Robotics

The Boeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join the Software Engineering team in Seoul, Korea. As part of the Boeing Enterprise Software Products and Global Technology team, this internship will provide hands-on experience in the development and deployment of cloud-based software applications used in support of commercial aerospace products.

Position Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of supervisory control systems for multi-robot manufacturing cells under the guidance of senior engineersSupport the expansion of current multi-robot supervisory control system to interface with larger-scale manufacturing cellsParticipate in a globally-distributed team to help design, code, and test softwareAttend project meetings to learn about project status and contribute to discussionsInteract with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updatesSupport Agile software development methodologies

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related fieldSome experience in software development, including design, coding, and testing (internships, academic projects, or coursework are acceptable)Strong verbal and written English communication skillsA passion for developing high-quality automation and robotics software solutionsProficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C++, C#, Python)A motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to team successStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Familiarity with robotics systems and multi-robot coordination conceptsBasic knowledge of industrial automation platforms and robot programmingInterest in scheduling algorithms, optimization, or operations researchUnderstanding of manufacturing processes, particularly automated assembly operations
