Responsible for sustainment program support to include integration, comprehensive logistics, sustainment plan creation and support requirements for the lifecycle of the product. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. May serve as the point of contact for logistics with the customer and provide advice or training on system design and specifications. Functions as the internal design interface between support system, concepts and specifications. Performs analysis of the sustainment system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Other analysis may include interface studies, timeline and requirements allocation, effectiveness, verification, cost/risk, and supportability.
Specific Job Description
Responsible for Tooling and Test Equipment support on the M-TADS/PNVS program. Capable of solving complex problems and work under pressure in a Lab environment. Coordinates records for internal management and government control. Perform supply chain operational activities and day to day T&TE management. Implements and status plans for Engineering Change Proposals and Vault TDC. In conjunction with other program personnel, establishes schedules and monitors the cost and delivery of T&TE and support equipment spares. Support the mitigation of potential component obsolescence, including tracking known issues and communicating at risk items with engineering and other stakeholders. The candidate will work with various teams to analyze solution options for T&TE requirements to support sustainment needs. The candidate will research availability of potential obsolescence issues, support alternate component test and evaluations, supporting the development of redesign, and propose engineering changes in the subsystem Build of Materials (BOM) for alternates. The candidate should be creative, analytical, process-oriented, and appreciates the challenge of clarifying ambiguity. A successful candidate will have efficient and effective communication skills to support the development and delivery of reports, program directives, engineering change requests, and presentations. Travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors or masters degree in Business Management or related discipline
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word)
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Ability to interface with a variety of information technology applications to create purchase requirements and to extract data
• Ability to review data and statuses and derive trends
• Ability to prepare and accomplish presentations
• Supply Chain background
• Familiarity with contractual requirements
• Ability to work in a cross-functional IPT environment
• Experience using SAP client applications
• Familiarity with Tooling and Test Equipment
