Sustainability Product Consultant
The Sustainability Product Consultant serves as a key bridge between product vision, technical development, and client needs for various products in the sustainability practice, including a geospatial and AI-enabled solution, ensuring the product delivers measurable value and innovation.
The Product Consultant is a mid-level individual contributor responsible for ensuring a product’s value and viability within a product line. This role involves leading empowered, cross-functional product teams to solve customer problems that align with business needs. Being a mid-level product management role, you will have the opportunity to own products of lesser complexity that drive business value. The Lead Product Analyst, like any of our product managers, is accountable for the product’s success, from vision to execution, and collaborates closely with various functions and stakeholders to deliver valuable, viable, usable, and feasible solutions.
Work You’ll Do
Product Accountability: Lead product design conversations and deliver compelling demonstrations to diverse audiences, translating user needs and business goals into actionable engineering requirements. Own the product’s value and viability, driving strategy-aligned solutions and profit objectives while formulating and measuring KPIs to inform ongoing improvements.
Vision and Strategy: Co-create, own, and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in close collaboration with business stakeholders, engineering, experience, and delivery teams. Ensure product objectives are fully aligned with both the product line and broader business goals.
Market and User Engagement: Drive continuous product improvement by gathering and synthesizing user feedback, conducting research and competitive analysis, and engaging the team directly with users and stakeholders. Collaborate to guide solutions that address priority user and business needs and inform strategic roadmap decisions.
Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, business, experience, and delivery—to iterate and enhance the product, ensuring clear communication between technical and business perspectives. Foster empowered teams and a product operating model focused on maximizing value and achieving KPI-driven outcomes through collective ownership.
Continuous Improvement: Remove obstacles and champion rapid, ongoing learning and adaptation to accelerate value achievement. Drive innovation and process improvement to eliminate waste, while sharing knowledge and best practices across the product vertical community.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in product consulting, product management, or a related field; experience with geospatial or AI products preferred. 2+ years functional experience utilizing of Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, or similar data consolidation, analysis, and visualization tools. Limited immigration sponsorship may be available. Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Preferred:
Sustainability Domain expertise with experience in one or more areas of sustainability and infrastructure such as decarbonization, sustainability strategy etc. Prior experience working with geospatial data, mapping technologies, or AI-driven products is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss software engineering concepts, such as APIs, data flows, and system architecture, with technical teams. Stakeholder and Project Management Ability to deliver high-impact, high-visibility projects to senior leaders and executive level audiences. Work alongside cross-functional virtual teams across multiple, concurrent projects. Data Analysis, Visualization, and Interpretation Consolidate, analyze, and visualize large data sets across multiple sources (incl. Excel, PowerBI dashboard development, etc.) Translate data and information into narratives that lead to actionable insights strategic recommendations, and delivery of broader business goals.You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
