Sustainability Delivery Lead

What does this job involve?

We are currently looking for a new Sustainability Delivery Lead to drive our end-to-end sustainability solutions in real estate across the India region. 

This is a client-dedicated role, reporting to the Global Sustainable Operations Delivery lead. The primary mandate is the strategic development and operational execution of end-to-end energy, water, and waste management programs to meet the client's ambitious carbon footprint reduction and landfill diversion goals across their extensive real estate portfolio. The role serves as a key subject matter expert to enhance client satisfaction and environmental performance.

What this job involves

Maintain optimal client relationships - Lead and manage client initiatives to secure, strengthen, develop, and enhance client relationships.

Serve as Subject Matter Expert - Act as the client’s principal expert, providing practical understanding of emerging trends such as net zero, ESG disclosures, and strategy development.

Shape sustainability solutions - Use client and business-line feedback to identify and right-size new solutions, collaborating with other JLL divisions and third-party specialists.

Drive Operational Performance - Integrate and execute operational program management for clients:

Operational Program Execution: Direct the development and execution of energy, water, and waste management programs, working through the Integrated Facilities Management team to achieve client goals.

Technical Advisory: Engage with JLL facility managers and internal technical teams to provide environmental sustainability advice, solve complex problems, and drive performance improvements using utility management systems.

Be a team player - Coordinate with and support the division and wider firm, making a material contribution to success and inspiring skills and learning development in others.

Embodying JLL ethics – Understand the organizations behavioral, moral, ethical and compliance standards and requirements, adhere to and demonstrate highest regard in all situations when interacting with customers, clients, and colleagues.

Sound like you? Here are the skills we are looking for:

Experience & Education: 5-10 years of progressive consulting/operational experience in Sustainability/ESG. University degree preferred in an engineering, science, or business-related field.

Technical Systems: Specialized technical understanding of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems, and their sustainability impact.

Sustainability Expertise: Advanced understanding of energy and water conservation measures, corporate portfolio analysis through benchmarking, and Greenhouse Gas Emission scopes and reporting, coupled with familiarity in energy procurement and renewable energy options.

Corporate Acumen: Ability to excel in a highly matrixed corporate environment and manage multiple stakeholder environments successfully. Travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience conducting site-level conservation measures assessments (ASHRAE Level 1 and 2).

Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Specialized knowledge of environmental reporting, utility management, energy budgets, and ISO 14001 compliance.

Experience working with and managing small teams of energy and sustainability professionals.
