Sustainability Data & Reporting Specialist
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data and Reporting Specialist to join our Sustainability and Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) department! You will play a key role in reviewing and compiling data from across the business and preparing high quality reports to help internal colleagues and our customers understand and communicate our sustainability performance.
We're looking for someone that’s proactive, self-starting, and able to work autonomously, supporting colleagues with their data analysis, developing corresponding analyses, and finding effective solutions that can be swiftly translated into actionable steps ("connecting the dots").
This role will be based out of our Manchester site, with 2-3 days a week in the office. Please note, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role so all applicants must have valid right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship. 
You’ll create impact by:Supporting the business to maximise its sustainability credentials and performance data to meet customer disclosure and product traceability requirements.Developing dashboards and visualisations to make data insights understandable, accessible and actionable for stakeholders.Reporting and presenting of carbon analysesDelivery of mandatory (SECR, TCFD, ESOS) and voluntary (SBTi, CDP, PAS2060) sustainability compliances and frameworks.Data management, reporting and visualisation for GB&I and global People Centricity and Society requirements.  (Social Value, Volunteering, B4SI, Ext Learning).  Stakeholder coordination for both internal and external parties.Delivery of EHS compliance reportsLeading the implementation of strong data governance practices, including data cataloguing, lineage tracking, tool integration, and proactive monitoring to ensure data accuracy and completeness.Planning, implementing, and managing digital projects related to sustainability ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Remaining updated of industry trends, emerging technologies such as AI, and regulatory requirements related to sustainability.What we’re looking for:A degree in business informatics, business studies with a focus on Data Science, or a comparable qualification.Ideally, you will have a background or working knowledge of sustainability, but this is not essential.Experience with BI & Data Analytics projects, using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik.Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure and architecture for Data Analytics applications, such as Data Warehousing and ETL.Initial experience with Machine Learning and working with Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT.Strong IT affinity and practical experience with agile working methods.Good attention to detail and be highly skilled at extracting, manipulating, interpreting and providing context to large data sets from a variety of sources.Proactive and able to work autonomously.Excellent collaboration skills working with multiple teams both locally and globally to build relationships quicklyPermanent right to work in the UK, without the need for future sponsorshipWhat can we offer?
