Job Summary:

Provides critical support to the sustainability department, assisting with data management, program coordination, and administrative tasks to advance system-wide sustainability initiatives. This position will work across various focus areas, including climate action, resource conservation, waste management, sustainable procurement, resilience planning, system-wide reporting, and building services tasks across the organization. Provides building services support to system and network entities at the corporate headquarters to contribute to satisfaction, safety, and financial goals. Ensures the collection, analysis, and reporting of sustainability-related data to inform decision-making and measure program impact across the organization.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collects, organizes, and analyzes sustainability-related data, including waste, energy, water, and greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.  Utilizes Excel, Power BI, or other sustainability data visualization tools to track key metrics, generate reports, and identifies trends for program improvement. Develops and maintains dashboards, pivot tables, and advanced Excel models to support data-driven decision-making. Assists in benchmarking sustainability performance against industry standards (e.g., Practice Greenhealth, Energy Star, and other reporting) and supports compliance reporting requirements.  Assists in developing communications, training materials, and presentations related to sustainability initiatives.  Supports the development of financial impact assessments of sustainability programs by analyzing cost savings, efficiency improvements, and return on investment. Identifies and assists in funding opportunities, including sustainability awards, grant applications, and partnership development.  Leads sustainability initiatives across the organization. Tracks and maintains project timelines, deliverables, and documentation, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.  Provides logistical support for sustainability committee meetings, working groups, and stakeholder engagement efforts, including preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and following up on action items. Performs other duties as assigned.  

Building Services Responsibilities:

Picks up and processes incoming, outgoing, and internal mail.Maintains the coffee bar and lunchroom and orders necessary supplies.Coordinates maintenance requests and conference room scheduling.  Conducts regular cleanliness and maintenance inspections. Meets with contractors when necessary and appropriate.Performs other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent years of experience and education

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.Frequent keyboard use/data entry.Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.Rare climbing.
