Overview: Join Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services.
We are seeking a Sustainability Analyst to join the Climate & Environmental Resilience (CER) business unit. This is a new full-time position created to support additional sales growth and expand the organization's sustainability consulting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Assessment & Verification: Perform and review technical assessments, data validation, and verification activities based on ISO 14064, IPCC guidelines, and other relevant standards
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical documentation, such as reports, presentations, proposals, and methodologies, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strategic insight
Sustainability Reporting Leadership: Lead and oversee Sustainability Report development, ensuring alignment with IFRS S1/S2, GRI, TCFD, Integrated Reporting, and related frameworks, and support assurance activities through technical reviews and quality assessments
GHG Emissions Management: Manage GHG emissions accounting projects, including Scopes 1–3 inventories, baselining, scenario analysis, and decarbonization pathway development
Client Engagement: Conduct client meetings, workshops, and technical discussions, effectively communicating findings, methodologies, and recommendations
Advisory Services: Provide advisory services on climate-related risks, ESG integration, sustainability strategy, and regulatory compliance
Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor emerging sustainability regulations and standards, and translate these into actionable guidance for clients
Business Development Support: Support business development through technical inputs for proposals, scoping sessions, and client briefings
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability Management, or a related field Master's degree is an advantageTechnical Knowledge & Expertise:
Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, emissions factor application, and sustainability metrics interpretation Strong working knowledge of ISO 14064 standards, IPCC Guidelines, and GHG Protocol Standards, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 methodologies Familiarity with sustainability and reporting frameworks such as IFRS S1/S2, TCFD, CDP, GRI, and Integrated ReportingProfessional Experience:
3–5+ years of experience in GHG emissions accounting, corporate carbon footprinting, or validation and verification engagements Experience in managing multiple sustainability or ESG-related projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skillsCommunication & Soft Skills:
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports, presentations, and workshopsProfessional Certifications (Advantage):
ISO 14064 Lead Verifier/Lead Auditor, CES, or other sustainability credentials
