Job Description Naval Architect / Surveyor - New Construction (Naval Shipbuilding)

Location: Appledore, UK (Full-time, on-site)
Salary: DOE 
 
I am looking for an experienced Naval Architect or Surveyor to join a naval shipbuilding project focused on new-build vessels. This is a full-time, on-site role, Monday to Friday, based in South-West England.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct surveys and inspections of new-build naval vessels, with a strong focus on hull structures. Oversee welding, materials, and structural integrity throughout construction. Ensure adherence to naval and technical standards. Collaborate with internal teams and project staff to resolve technical issues. Provide expert guidance on naval architecture and construction practices. Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' continuous residency in the UK (for security clearance eligibility). Proven experience in naval shipbuilding, specifically new construction projects. Strong hull experience; materials and welding knowledge essential. Background as a Naval Architect or Surveyor preferred. Must be able to work full-time on-site.
