Essential Responsibilities

Perform field survey requests, take precise measurements, and set up / configure survey instrumentsInterpret and extrapolate surveying data from construction and design drawingsEstablish secondary control from primary site control networksCollaborate and work closely with construction crews and ensure clear, effective communicationInstall survey stake locations, including construction sites, pile locations, battered piles, pile cut-offs, and site gradingSet anchor bolts and formwork locations alongside civil crewsPrepare accurate surveying notes and field sketchesProvide ongoing guidance and mentorship to Survey AssistantsSafely operate a light duty vehicle in congested environmentsWork in a busy site environment around heavy equipment and foot trafficActively participate and engage in Ledcor’s safety programBe a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures 

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of field surveying experiencePreference will be given to candidates with a diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related fields of educationAbility to demonstrate a strong technical background in surveyingAttention to detail with the ability to recognize & effectively communicate discrepanciesProficiency with Trimble robotic total stations and Trimble GPS equipment and strong familiarity with Trimble AccessSuccessful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testingHold a valid Class 5 drivers license and provide a clean 3-year drivers recordCSTS-2020, Fall Protection and WHMIS 2015 (training will be provided)

Work Conditions
