Job Description
We are seeking a Survey Technician to join our field team. This role involves collaborating with a Survey Crew Chief or Lead Survey Technician to collect data for various types of surveys. The projects span residential land development, commercial development, construction staking for roadways, and municipal work. The position requires fieldwork and the use of Trimble equipment to gather survey data.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Survey Crew Chief or Lead Survey Technician to collect accurate survey data.Engage in fieldwork on a variety of projects including residential, commercial, and municipal developments.Conduct construction staking for roadways and other infrastructure projects.Utilize Trimble equipment and survey tools to collect topographic and ALTA survey data.Work effectively in a team with one to two other individuals to ensure precise data collection.Essential SkillsMinimum of 6 months experience in surveying, land surveying, and topographic surveys.Proficiency in using Trimble equipment and survey tools.Experience in ALTA and topography surveys for at least 6 months.Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in field land surveying is preferred.Familiarity with AutoCAD drafting is advantageous but not mandatory.Willingness to undergo training and mentorship for career development in surveying.Work Environment
The Survey Technician will spend the majority of their time working in the field, often in varying weather conditions. The role requires comfort working on diverse construction job sites, including commercial, municipal, and residential land development projects. The technician will work within a small team to collect data and stake out construction sites, offering a dynamic and hands-on work experience.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
