Job Title: Survey Party Chief
Job Description

Lead a small team to conduct land surveys, primarily outdoors, but occasionally in the office. Utilize GPS and other tools to gather data for pipelines, construction sites, and property boundaries. Ensure all collected data is accurate and complies with safety regulations. Maintain equipment in excellent condition and assist with necessary paperwork. Occasionally collaborate with other teams or projects.

ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team in conducting land surveys.Collect accurate data using GPS and other surveying tools.Ensure all data collected adheres to safety and accuracy standards.Maintain and manage surveying equipment.Assist with documentation and paperwork.Support other teams or projects as needed.Essential SkillsAt least 5 years of experience in land surveying, with 2 years as a team leader.Proficiency in mathematics, especially geometry and trigonometry.Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and carry equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.Familiarity with GPS and survey tools, particularly Trimble.Competence in using software such as Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Trimble programs.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and stay overnight as necessary.Ability to pass a drug test and participate in a random testing program.Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.00/hr.
