Job Description
This Survey Crew Chief role is ideal for individuals with strong experience in land surveying, particularly in construction staking and interpreting construction plans. The successful candidate will lead field crews, ensure accurate data collection, and maintain high standards of safety and quality. Surveys include Topographic, Boundary, Construction Layout, and ALTA.
ResponsibilitiesLead and manage field crews for land surveying projects.Ensure accurate data collection and maintain safety and quality standards.Conduct Topographic, Boundary, Construction Layout, and ALTA surveys.Perform construction staking using survey equipment such as Leica.Interpret and work with construction plans.Essential Skills5+ years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.Proficiency in running land survey projects independently or managing a survey field crew.Experience with construction staking and reading/interpreting construction plans.Expertise in ALTA/NSPS, boundary, and topographic surveys.Additional Skills & QualificationsSurvey drone experience or license is a plus.Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
