No waiting periods. + Full benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Life Insurance, Short and Long-term Disability + Retirement savings plan with employer match and contributions + Colleague Referral Program to earn cash and prizes + Unlimited career growth opportunities with one of the largest Catholic healthcare organizations in the country + Tuition Reimbursement **Position Purpose:** Provides assistance as necessary to surgeons and residents by selecting, organizing, anticipating and passing surgical instruments, medical supplies, equipment, and provides retraction under the direction of the surgeon. **What the Surgical Technologist Will Do:** + Applies knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, and operative technique relative to all procedures. + Applies principles of asepsis and infection prevention. + Identifies breaches in aseptic technique and implements interventions for resolution. + Assists with position, prepping and draping of the patient. + Provides assistance as necessary to surgeons and residents by selecting, organizing, anticipating, and passing surgical instruments, medical supplies, equipment, and provides retraction under the direction of the surgeon. + Assists with exposure through appropriate use of instruments, retractors, suctioning and sponging. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Completion of a Surgical Technologist program; or six years of surgical tech experience + Certified Surgical Technologist preferred + Familiarity with standard desktop and windows-based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation. + Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions. **Our Commitment** Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
