Surgical Technician III

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients.

Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient's healing process.

Demonstrates superior knowledge and practice in the first scrub roleUnderstands supply costs and independently Works with team to assure that quality of care is maintained while cost containment is consideredDemonstrates superior knowledge of the varied surgical equipment and advanced surgical instrumentation. Assures appropriate equipment and supplies are available for each procedureAssists in communication with Biomedical Services on the status of equipment needing repair or maintenanceEducates staff in the care of instrumentation and equipment

We are offering a $10,000 Sign On Bonus to new hires that meet the eligibility requirements.


Job Requirements

Required
High School Diploma/GED
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) or Certified First Assistant (CSFA)
BLS (AHA only)

Able to work in atleast 3 different specialty areas

Preferred
Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists
