**Job Summary and Responsibilities** As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients. Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. **Position Responsibilities:** + Assist surgical team in the scrubbing role according CHI St. Luke's policies and procedures. + Pass instruments, suture products, medication, and sponge materials to surgeon. + Assist with retracting of tissue and organs, and suctioning by holding the retracting. + Utilize/open supplies judiciously, offers suggestions, improvements with focus on quality and cost containment. + Work closely with the instrument room as service specialist/instrument liaison to assure provision of quality. _We are offering a_ **_$10,000 Sign On Bonus_** _to new hires that meet the eligibility requirements._ **Job Requirements** **Required** High School Diploma/GED Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) or Certified First Assistant (CSFA) BLS (AHA only) **Preferred** Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists **Where You'll Work** St. Luke’s Health - Memorial Hospital in Livingston, TX, is located just off Highway 59 south. The 66-bed hospital provides more than 60,000 patient services each year, with half of those services being offered in the Level 4 Trauma-Designated Emergency Department. Services offered include, Orthopedic care, Women’s Services, and a state-of-the-art Sleep Center.
