Job Overview:
A member of the surgical team, acting under the direction of a Registered Nurse, who works with the surgeon and RN in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibility before, during and after surgery.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School diploma or equivalentCompletion of an OR Technician training program2 3 years of experienceMust have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and traumaExcellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written) Must be able to make calls. Must be flexible, able to multitask and be able to work independentlyCertifications and Licenses Required:
Certified Surgical Technician, requiredNBSTSA Certification, requiredCurrent BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart AssociationScheduling Requirements:
