As a Surgical Services Support Technician, you will help create a safe and sterile environment for surgical operations and other procedures. You will be exposed to the latest technologies, offering a unique opportunity to gain invaluable medical knowledge through hands-on experience. **A caregiver in this position works 7:00am to 3:30pm, as well as 8:00am to 4:30pm. Schedules can be flexible based on candidate needs. No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements** **.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Safely transport patients to designated areas per nursing requests. + Assist nursing caregivers during surgical cases as requested. + Maintain and control support services for equipment and supplies. + Maintain the OR in an aesthetically safe and sanitary condition. + Enter job tasks into electronic computer software systems. + Assist in prepping and shaving patients for surgery. + Coordinate and maintain uniform room activities, such as locker assignments and scrubs. + Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste. + Comply with special cleaning requests for radioactive waste and infection control surgical cases. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High school diploma or GED. + If not already obtained, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required within your new hire period. + One year of customer service experience. + Experience working in a team environment.
