Job Description Insight Global is seeking to hire a Surgical Scrub Technician to join our team in Wooster, OH on a contract basis. This individual will play a critical role in the operating room, assisting surgeons during procedures and ensuring the maintenance of a sterile environment. This position requires detailed knowledge of surgical procedures, physician preferences, and perioperative care planning. The technician supports patient safety, departmental upkeep, and demonstrates professionalism, dependability, and a commitment to continuous learning. Responsibilities will include: · Ensures patient comfort and safety throughout the surgical process. · Anticipates equipment and supply needs based on nurse assessments and surgeon preferences. · Prepares the operative suite, verifying supplies, equipment, and instruments. · Assists in cleaning and resetting the operating room between cases. · Opens sterile supplies and instruments for procedures. · Uses and updates surgeon preference cards for each case. · Assists surgeons with high efficiency during procedures. · Initiates emergency measures when necessary. · Follows contaminated case protocols per written policy. · Drapes patients to maintain a sterile field. · Identifies and reports breaks in sterile technique.
