As an Surgical Scheduler, you will:
Schedule surgeries and medical procedures efficiently, aligning with surgeon availability and hospital resources. Coordinate pre-surgical testing, including diagnostic and imaging appointments. Communicate with vendors and hospital staff to ensure all surgical equipment and support personnel are prepared. Update electronic medical records with scheduling notes and special instructions. Monitor test results and notify care teams of any abnormalities; arrange follow-up testing as needed. Provide patients with clear instructions about appointment times, preparation steps, and location details. Verify insurance coverage and handle or request prior authorizations when necessary. Ensure patients complete all required medical clearance and pre-operative testing. Confirm appointments with patients via phone and answer any questions they may have. Schedule follow-up visits after procedures to support ongoing care. Collaborate with team members and assist with additional administrative tasks as needed.
This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity. Monday to Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Pay rate: $22.00 - $25.88/hr.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
