Responsibilities

The Surgical Process Analyst provides dedicated consistent analytical support to the Division of Hospital Surgical Services and/or the OPC's. The Surgical Process Analyst works collaboratively with multiple groups within the Mayo system and serves as a point of contact. The Surgical Process Analyst develops or enhances process and electronic tools used to analyze trends, identify opportunities and monitors continuous improvement activities related to Surgical Services. The Surgical Process Analyst provides information to assist the Division of Hospital Surgical Services and/or the OPC's in fiscal management, medical surgical costs, utilization management, and the delivery of safe patient care. This position may have a lead/supervisory responsibility depending upon the specific assignment.



Qualifications

Associate’s degree and a minimum of three years’ experience in business, IT, or surgical supply management; Or, a Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of one year experience in business, IT or surgical supply management with evidence of computer knowledge and experience to facilitate data analysis on, but not limited to the following programs: Excel, Access, Word, Windows and HTML (or web development). 

Additional Qualifications

Current Surgical Services experience preferred. Advanced knowledge of quality assurance, inventory control, project management, and continuous improvement concepts preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and task management skills. Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision. Previous supervisory/leadership experience or training preferred.
