**A Day in the Life**
The Business Operations – Market Performance Analyst role is responsible for managing and optimizing demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory management, and backorder mitigation to support the Surgical Operating Unit’s (OU) operational and commercial objectives, acting as the conduit between the Sales and Marketing teams. This role ensures that the forecasting process is aligned and transparent between the teams involved. They will also be responsible for creating demand trends, monitoring supply constraints, and aligning with cross-functional stakeholders as necessary.
The Market Performance Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence by providing data-driven insights, standardizing reporting tools, and enabling visibility of supply-demand alignment. This role will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Local Planning, and Global Surgical Operation teams to ensure accurate forecasting, effective inventory planning, and timely fulfillment of commercial needs.
One of the key responsibilities of this role is to support the business in anticipating supply gaps that will trigger mitigation plans, and ensuring end-to-end alignment between the parties involved. They will also act as a central point of contact for demand and supply-related escalations and support the Marketing team by enabling informed decision-making through timely and accurate analytics.
A strong indicator of success for this role is the ability to ensure consistent execution of best-in-class operational practices that deliver measurable value to the Sales and Marketing teams.

+ Coaches and reviews the work of lower level specialists; may manage projects/processes
+ May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area
+ Contributes to the completion of work group objectives, through building relationships and consensus to reach agreements on assignments.
+ Problems and issues faced are difficult, and may require understanding of multiple issues, job areas or specialties
+ Makes improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area
+ Analysis provided is in-depth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements.
+ Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors
+ Exchange information of facts, statuses, ideas and issues to achieve objective, and influence decision-making.
**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
+ Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Supply Planning, Demand Forecasting, Inventory Management, Reporting, and working within SAP environments.
+ Proven expertise in Supply and Back Order Management, Demand Forecasting, and Data Analytics, acquired through hands-on experience and/or advanced education.
+ Strong knowledge of SAP, with exposure to multiple modules and integration points across supply chain functions.
+ Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot issues and drive timely resolutions.
+ Proficient in data reporting and visualization; capable of independently conducting process mapping, preparing impactful PowerPoint presentations, and documenting workflows. Working knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
+ Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with a proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence decision-making across various levels of the organization.
+ Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to large audiences and skilled at conveying complex information in a clear, persuasive manner.
+ Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within set timelines.
+ Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a “can-do” attitude and strong bias for action.
+ Capable of working independently and creatively to identify, research, and implement effective solutions.
+ Demonstrates initiative, innovation, and adaptability in addressing challenges and driving continuous improvement.
+ Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and maintains a positive, professional approach to work.
