Surgical Clinical Reviewer / Data Analyst - General Surgery

and submission of high quality data to the Abdominal Core Health Quality Collaborative ACHQC This includes of surgical procedures performed at the center as well as eligible patients enrolled in the program The colleague plays a vital role in supporting quality improvement by working closely with surgeons general surgery teams and the Quality Department to identify opportunities for clinical excellence and special projects The colleague is granted access to all relevant patient documentation and reporting systems to ensure complete and reliable data collectionThis position requires strong collaboration across clinical and administrative teams and contributes directly to advancing patient care and outcomes through data driven insightsmiddot Identifies collects and reports medicalsurgery data accurately and in a timely manner for multiple time intervals over the course of the patientrsquos care through effective utilization of the hospital and surgeonsrsquo office record systemsmiddot Works in collaboration with both clinical and administrative staff across the program to ensure accurate data collection and data reporting Represents the surgery program at identified meetings to ensure reliable data collection and reporting including preparing and presenting data reportsmiddot Identifies streamlining and process improvement opportunities in the data collection process and quality of patient caremiddot Establishes effective working relationships with members of the hospital community and surgeon offices especially staff in the surgery medicine nursing medical records information systems departments and others whose support is necessary for the management and success for the programmiddot Serves as an educational resource on the surgery Data Registry Platform for internal and external audiences by developing educational material and delivering presentationsmiddot Participates in data compilation for research projects audits and initial and re accreditation
