Principal Responsibilities: 

Performs all Level I and II responsibilities and competenciesProperly identifies and transports blood products to assigned roomAssists staff in positioning patient for regional anesthesia and peripheral line placementChecks case carts for accuracy of information and suppliesMedications are ordered, organized and maintained in accordance with established standards policies and proceduresPerforms direct patient care under supervision of RN/AnesthesiaUnderstands and differentiates between concepts of medical asepsis and surgical techniqueDemonstrates ability to create a sterile field by opening sterile supplies and pouring sterile solutions onto fieldOperates various sterilizers according to manufacturer’s guidelinesPerforms biological testing on sterilizersIdentifies service specific equipmentStages equipment/supplies/case cart for surgical caseTerminally disinfects/decontaminates surgical instruments/scopes for re-sterilization

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.1-2 year’s experiences in a health care environment.

Pay Range: $17.85 - $23.33

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
