**Job Summary and Responsibilities** Position Purpose/Summary: This position contributes to the mission of NSH by supporting the scheduling needs of perioperative patients and their plan of care Key Responsibilities: + Performs duties according to department and hospital specific expectations as identified and assigned. + Schedules procedures considering the availability of procedure room, equipment, staff and anesthesia care provider utilizing EMR scheduling software. + Accurately schedules procedures, follows up on scheduling variations to optimize patient safety. + Manages incoming calls, depot scheduling requests, and voice messages related to scheduling department requests. + Manages direct fax scheduling requests and handling of scanned documents with On Base software. + Performs other duties as assigned by leadership. **Job Requirements** Required + High School Graduate General Studies / GED upon hire Required and + 1-3 years One to two years of hospital (medical field) experience with knowledge of medical and surgical terminology Required Preferred + Other Metropolitan test or equivalent upon hire Preferred **Where You'll Work** CHI Health Immanuel, located in North Omaha just off of I-680 on 72nd Street, offers a full-service hospital, cancer center, rehabilitation center, specialty spine hospital and more.
