Job Summary and Responsibilities

Position Purpose/Summary: This position contributes to the mission of NSH by supporting the scheduling needs of perioperative patients and their plan of care

Key Responsibilities:

Performs duties according to department and hospital specific expectations as identified and assigned.Schedules procedures considering the availability of procedure room, equipment, staff and anesthesia care provider utilizing EMR scheduling software.Accurately schedules procedures, follows up on scheduling variations to optimize patient safety.Manages incoming calls, depot scheduling requests, and voice messages related to scheduling department requests.Manages direct fax scheduling requests and handling of scanned documents with On Base software.Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
Job Requirements

Required

High School Graduate General Studies / GED upon hire Required and1-3 years One to two years of hospital (medical field) experience with knowledge of medical and surgical terminology Required

Preferred
