Summary:
Schedules, prioritizes, assigns and supervises the work of the Electrical crew. Responsible for parts inventory, ordering parts, and service. Maintains budget to prevent overruns. Performs incident investigations. Responsible for training the Electrical team. Assist Facilities Manager in development of policies and procedure. Performs reviews / evaluations of entire crew on time. Performs coaching sessions and any disciplinary actions that are required. Assists in hiring process. Maintains shop areas clean and safe. Work with facilities dispatch to prioritize work. Represents Electrical in construction meetings and provides technical specifications to project team. Responsible for maintaining electrical distribution and fire systems for 1.2 million square feet of buildings. Responsible for crew safety. The role of this position is a working supervisor.
Responsibilities:
· Current State of Maine Master Electrician license. Must be able to keep good records and be proficient in preventive maintenance techniques for all hospital electrical systems. Must be knowledgeable in emergency power systems and high voltage systems. Must be able to use the provisions of the National Electrical Code to layout projects and supervise project completion. Must have strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
