The Support Teacher plays a critical role in supporting classroom instruction, supervising students, and maintaining a safe and organized school environment. This position requires a proactive and collaborative individual who is committed to student development and upholding the mission and values of BuffSci. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Provide instructional support and teach assigned classes as needed. + Attend and actively participate in weekly collaboration meetings with colleagues and administration. + Supervise assigned advisory classes, providing guidance and support to students. + Record and maintain accurate student attendance records. + Monitor student activity and behavior in hallways to ensure a safe and orderly environment. + Mentor and supervise students participating in clubs and extracurricular activities. + Assist in the coordination, facilitation, and/or participation of school events and student programs, including extracurricular activities. + Supervise breakfast and lunch periods, student dismissals, and in-school suspension (ISS), as assigned. + Support the cleanliness and organization of classrooms and ensure that classrooms are left clean and tidy at the end of each school day. + Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by BuffSci in a competent, professional, and faithful manner. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree preferred. + Experience working with students in an educational setting preferred. + Strong classroom management and organizational skills. + Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families. + Commitment to maintaining a positive, respectful, and professional school culture.
