Support Services Team Lead

The schedule for this position will be: Sunday - Thursday (9:00pm-5:30am) and every 3rd Friday

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the departmentHelp lead the team in their daily processes and proceduresAssist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testingOversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areasEncourage process improvements and best practicesPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracyResolve any production errors as requested by managementResearch and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessaryEngage in continuous process and service level improvementsPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracyResponsible for enforcing and managing policies and proceduresPerform administrative duties as needed

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalentAssociates or Bachelor's degree is a plus3 years of relevant experience; preferably in a clinical laboratoryPrior leadership experience is a plusFamiliarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures is preferredStrong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office  Excellent communication skills; both written and verbalHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skillsStrong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environmentAbility to handle the physical requirements of the position
