Supply Technician
**Supply Technician – U.S. Army Equipment Turn-In Site (Contractor)** The Supply Technician supports the daily receipt, inspection, accountability, storage, and processing of Army equipment being turned in by units at a contractor-operated site. This role ensures compliance with U.S. Army supply regulations, technical manuals, and contract requirements, while maintaining accurate records in Army logistics systems. The Supply Technician is directly responsible for verifying documentation, updating property records, and assisting in the smooth execution of the Army’s property accountability mission. **Responsibilities** **Turn-In & Receiving Operations** + Process equipment and materiel turn-ins from U.S. Army units in accordance with AR 710-2, AR 735-5, and DA PAM 710-2-1. + Verify turn-in documentation (e.g., DA Form 1348-1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts) for accuracy and completeness. + Conduct visual inspections and apply correct condition codes (A–H) for serviceability. + Identify, segregate, and properly tag unserviceable, reparable, or excess items. **Accountability & Records Management** + Ensure timely and accurate entries into Army logistics systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP. + Assist in inventory reconciliation, discrepancy research, and property adjustments. + Maintain accountability of all equipment and materiel throughout the turn-in process. + Support audits, Property Accountability Reviews (PARs), and inspections by the COR or Army officials. **Warehousing & Material Handling** + Safely store, stage, and organize equipment in designated warehouse or yard areas. + Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (MHE) as required. + Follow Army and OSHA standards for HAZMAT handling, load securement, and workplace safety. **Coordination & Customer Service** + Provide assistance to unit supply personnel during the turn-in process. + Coordinate with supervisors, Quality Assurance staff, and transportation personnel to ensure timely processing of equipment. + Communicate effectively with Army representatives regarding documentation, discrepancies, and required corrective actions. **Qualifications** + Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional logistics or supply training preferred. + 2–4 years of logistics, warehousing, or supply experience (Army or contractor environment preferred). + Familiarity with Army turn-in, supply, or property accountability operations strongly desired. **Knowledge Requirements:** + Army supply and property regulations (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1). + Army logistics systems (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP). + Equipment condition coding and serviceability classification standards. **Skills:** + Ability to interpret and process supply documentation (DA and DD forms). + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). + Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, and recordkeeping skills. + Ability to operate MHE safely and maintain proper storage practices. + Effective communication and teamwork skills in a high-volume environment. + Must have a real ID + Must be able to travel within the US when required + Must have a valid Texas driver's license with proof of vehicle insurance. **Job ID** 2025-19007 **Work Type** On-Site **Company Description** **Work Where it Matters** Akima Global Logistics (AGL), an Akima company, is not just another operations contractor.
