Supply Planning Coordinator - Level II - OFFC
**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented Supply Planning Coordinator – Level II – OFFC to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning For our Cummins Inc. facility in Memphis, TN. **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + **Ensure Material Availability** : Determine the right quantity and timing for materials to meet production and customer demand, to help avoid delays and shortages. + **Drive Supplier Performance** : Initiate and manage purchase/work orders; collaborating with suppliers to reduce lead times and improve delivery reliability. + **Support Quality Assurance** : Perform quality checks on planning data and work with the Quality team to resolve issues with non-conforming materials, ensuring smooth operations. + **Optimize Inventory Flow** : Reposition excess inventory and manage part changes to minimize waste and support demand and contribute to cost efficiency. + **Enhance Communication Across Teams** : Participate in allocation calls and cross-functional collaboration, to ensure alignment and transparency across sourcing, planning, and production. + **Promote Health, Safety & Environmental Standards** : Report hazards and engage in HSE training to help maintain a safe and compliant workplace. + **Support Continuous Improvement** : Contribute to improvement projects related to quality, safety, and material flow and help drive operational excellence. + **Take Ownership of Delivery Execution** : Be accountable for supplier schedules and recovery plans and ensure customer needs are met with accuracy and urgency. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + **Strong Analytical Thinking** : You will need to make sense of complex and sometimes conflicting information to solve problems effectively and make informed decisions. + **Process Optimization Mindset** : Knowing how to identify and implement the most efficient workflows. + **Proficiency in Materials Planning Systems** : Leveraging the primary planning system—along with tools like Excel, Access, TOAD, and OMS—will be essential for managing supply and demand, resolving exceptions, and executing root cause analysis. + **Expertise in Part Change Control** : Successfully evaluating and implementing engineering changes will help you meet delivery requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. + **Application of PFEP Principles** : Using PFEP to design and manage systems ensures the right parts are delivered at the right time and place, to support smooth operations across the supply chain. + **Master Supply Scheduling Skills** : Establish and maintain a valid Master Production Schedule that aligns procurement, production, and replenishment planning with customer expectations and operational capacity. + **KPI-Driven Decision Making** : Interpret materials KPIs and balancing trade-offs to identify performance gaps, drive improvements, and ensure customer satisfaction. **Education/Experience** + High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. + This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. + Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Additional Information** + Begin your shift by walking the warehouse floor and reviewing all parts marked with pink stickers that do not have a colored dot (green, purple, or black), identifying items that may require attention or follow-up. + The CP Material Analyst will assess the quality of submitted images, verify part number accuracy, and confirm the presence and correctness of packing slips to decide if the case can be worked. + If any receiving errors are identified—such as unclear images, incorrect part numbers, inaccurate quantities, or wrong addresses, the CP Material Analyst should follow the steps outlined below. + Claim the case. + Retrieve a copy of the packing slip. + Verify the packing slip details against the data displayed in the Closed Parts app to ensure accuracy. + Process the case within the app and apply the correct colored dot to the physical box based on resolution status. + Upload the verified packing slip to the Closed Parts app for documentation and tracking. + Generate the expected receipt for the case and capture a screenshot of the expected receipt screen. + Upload the expected receipt image to the case to complete documentation. + Claim cases in the system and conduct thorough research to determine whether the part can be retained or if planner intervention is required to resolve the issue. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Planning, Quality, and other key stakeholders to drive case resolution. + Demonstrate strong follow-up and organizational skills to ensure timely processing of emails and cases, and facilitate appropriate next steps, whether returning parts to the supplier, scrapping them, or shelving them for future use. **Job** Supply Chain Planning **Organization** Cummins Inc. **Role Category** On-site **Job Type** Office **ReqID** 2420065 **Relocation Package** Yes **Cummins and E-Verify** At Cummins, we are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
