Supply Manager
The Supply Department Manager manages all supply and services functions for the Army Field Support Battalion (AFSBn), Fort Carson to include the Central Issue Facility, Supply Support Activity, Central Receiving Point, Contingency Stock, Fuel, Supply Subsistence Management Office, Installation Property Book Office and Ammunition Supply Point. Provides management planning, direction coordination and overview to assigned employees engaged in performing special and multi-functional tasks required to accomplish the supply and services functions, Performs budget formulation and execution; ensures funds control, supply management, property accountability, inventory management, supply control, equipment management, equipment authorization, acquisition, utilization, and quality assurance for the functional areas associated with the department. Develops, interprets, guides and assigns work to subordinates in order to assure timely and satisfactory completion of assignments. Promotes effective and efficient utilization of logistics automated systems. Consultant/expert and point of contact for AFO, LLC on logistics programs to develop operational concepts, expand or change supply operations. Prepares and presents briefings on the status of the integrated logistics management program. Directs personnel actions and ensures adherence to EEO and other management programs throughout the organization. Submits annual operations budget and ensures the department is adequately staffed and structured properly to meet program needs. Develops performance standards for subordinates. Evaluates work performance and counsels employees as required. Delegates or exercises leave authority. Resolves grievances and keeps employees informed on policies, personal and other management programs. **Responsibilities** + Manage the operation of the Installation Supply & Services Division's Central Issue Facility, Retail Supply Branch/Supply Support Activity, Central Receiving Point, Contingency Stock, Subsistence Supply Management Office, Consolidated Installation Property Book Office, and Ammunition Supply Point; involving multiple projects and customer support operations at various locations, on and off Fort Carson. + Ensure that all required retail supply services, to include maintaining delegation of authority signature cards, requisitioning, receiving, processing, supply retrograde, care of supplies in storage, stock readiness, process warehouse denials, turn-in, and comply with applicable regulations, directives and standard operating procedures. + Ensure that all required inventories are performed and conduct causative research and process inventory adjustments as required. + Ensure all weapons, sensitive and pilferable items are secured and protected at all times. + Manage the AFO Supply staff, including subcontractor employees and performance. + Organize, direct and coordinate the planning and production of all Supply & Services activities. + Provide direction and guidance to office, branch and section supervisors. + Manage Supply & Services Division funding and expenditures. **Qualifications** + A minimum of ten years’ experience in progressively responsible management positions. Ten years’ experience in customer relations skills, communication skills, ability to work with others and the ability to function under highly stressful situations are required.
