As the Supply Planning Lead, you will provide experience and mentorship to team members on fast-paced and challenging  programs supported within Common processes in Forest MS. This role will participate in resource and factory material planning, working closely with the factory and operations teams, as well as be responsible for material inventory audits and movement of material to the factory.  The Supply Planner will provide training to team members, inventory control process execution and improvement, proactive escalation of material constraints, cross functional engagement to ensure alignment in support of key deliverables, and execution of strong Production Control skillsets in support of assigned value streams.  

What You Will Do

Evaluate material availability, identifying potential gaps and proactively work material problems, to support kitting and delivery schedulesWorking knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems in a manufacturing environment and utilizing data-driven decision making to enable effective material forecasting. Interact with and collaborate with Factory Operations Team, Planning, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and Engineering on a regular and frequent basis.Leveraging strong interpersonal skills to provide training and drive process improvement and optimization in coordination with the managerUtilize KPIs to help you and the team drive action and results.Ability to travel to government and other facilities in support of program activities, typically less than 15%.Drive improvements to training and team building with manager support to create high functioning teamsThis position is an on-site role, and the selected candidate would need to be located within commuting distance of the RTX Forest MS facility as this position does not offer relocation.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8 years relevant experience or advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years relevant experienceExperience with Special program access or ERP and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or softwareExperience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or related manufacturing engineering

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with Kinaxis, CMES or similar softwareMotivated and takes on challenges with the ability to see when something needs to be done and react accordingly.Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power Point) experience.Experience with material inventory audits and movement of material within the factory and building.  Experience with Six Sigma methodology (CORE) and/or tools such as lean manufacturing, diagnostic, process optimization and continuous improvement

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
