Job Title: Supply Chain Vendor Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Vendor Manager to serve as the primary supply chain liaison between Wawa and its key fresh-food production vendor partners across the Mid-Atlantic market. This role oversees the daily execution of inbound supply for critical product categories such as bakery goods, brioche buns, rolls, and commissary items. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, excels in cross-functional communication, and brings a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to both daily operations and long-term strategic planning.
You will play a central role in coordinating with vendors, downstream logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted, high-quality supply. Responsibilities include leading crisis response, performance reviews, capacity and redundancy planning, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesVendor Management & Performance Oversight
Partner with vendors to ensure compliance with SLAs and operational expectations.
Monitor and document performance, escalating off-standard issues when necessary.
Facilitate regular performance reviews and KPI dashboards with vendor partners.
Operational Leadership & Communication
Lead day-to-day communication across vendor, logistics, and internal supply chain teams.
Act as the primary point of contact during operational crises, ensuring effective and timely resolution.
Maintain active communication on operational status and changes with all stakeholders.
Integration & Innovation
Lead the integration of new vendors, processes, or products into the Fresh Channel Supply Chain.
Conduct feasibility testing and ensure seamless implementation of new supply chain solutions.
Process Improvement & Auditing
Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities that enhance quality, service, and cost efficiency.
Conduct routine audits to verify adherence to SOPs and best practices.
Lead root cause analysis of production and quality issues, collaborating with QA and Marketing as needed.
Strategic Analysis & Capacity Planning
Develop and maintain capacity and redundancy models to assess long-term supply risks.
Support strategic initiatives by connecting operational data to broader business goals.
Documentation & Best Practices
Create and refine SOPs to ensure operational consistency.
Share knowledge and best practices across supply chain teams.
Availability & Flexibility
Participate in rotating on-call coverage for weekend or off-hours issue resolution.
Travel as needed to vendor or partner sites.
Key QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
4–6 years of experience in supply chain operations, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or vendor management.
Strong vendor influence and relationship management capabilities.
Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio; Access preferred).
Wawa store operations experience and/or direct vendor management experience is a plus.
