Our client, a major Oil and gas company, is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist Support to work on a long term contract in The Woodlands, TX.
Job Summary:
This position is in Woodlands, TX as a member of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) group supporting Capital Projects and Operations Teams.
Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience in Supply Chain Management in Oil/Gas industry with Operator, Service or Engineering Company Self-motivated to figure out where they can assist the team. Until the person is established in the role, they will need to be willing to jump in and carve out their work. Works well with limited supervision in most tasks Basic understanding of Oilfield Materials and Equipment (Pipe, Valves, Fittings, Compressors, Separators, Launchers and Receivers, etc.) is a plus, but not a requirement Strong analytical, strategic, and interpersonal skills to effectively influence change and return additional value Proven ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal Stakeholders as well as with external suppliers Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel Working experience with Ariba and SAP S4 HANA is a plus Ability to multitask/prioritize based on project needs Must be adaptable and focused in a rapidly changing environment Possesses excellent organization skills Ability to analyze and resolve problems at a basic level. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities: Supports multiple Supply Chain project teams for purchasing and transactional support – Creating and Modifying Stakeholder approved Purchase Orders at buyer’s direction. Organizes and compiles documentation for RFQ/RFP’s (bids), evaluations, negotiations, and suppliers. Assists with tracking delivery, expediting purchased materials and equipment and collecting associated documentation. Files and tracks documentation on material and product inventory. Maintains & updates Purchasing log of material orders and equipment. Updates project calendars with delivery schedules and other major events. Supports coordination of logistics to optimize service, maintain supply-chain efficiency, and minimize costs Provides project support. Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, Industrial Distribution Engineering or other related areas of study is a plus.
