Supply Chain Specialist - PRN, As Needed - 2nd, 3rd & Weekend Shifts Available

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.

Maintain fill rate objectives and ensure the efficiency of the restocking process.

Communicate data, as needed, to inventory control personnel for updating supply chain management system.

Respond appropriately to hazardous spills according to MRMC/McLeod Health policy.

Inspect, receive, and unpack shipments. Verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips; record receiving transactions; report shortages and damaged products; transfer/transport supplies and equipment to all designated inventory locations.

Maintain inventory controls to include receiving, verifying, storing and issuing various supplies/materials.

Process stock issues as required, record stock issues on appropriate system or log.

Inform supervisor of all supply shortages; assist supervisor in processing outstanding orders; transport and transfer supplies; fill requisitions as needed.

Maintain clean and orderly conditions in all assigned work areas.

Regulatory- Ensure  compliance with department, hospital, state and federal regulations including timely CBT completion, accurate clock in and out processes, and timely documentation for PTO.

 Adhere to the Telephone etiquette policy stated in McLeod’s policy and procedures.

 Knowledgeable of medications such as large volume IVs, alcohol, saline, medications in prepackaged kits. 

 Monitor expiration dates on products and communicate expired products when identified.

 Performs other duties as assigned. 

Requires the ability to work under/handle stressful situations.

Must be a quick thinker and able to displays positive emotional behavior, as well as apply positive

social skills with co-workers, vendors, customers, and patients.

 

Works Schedule: PRN, as needed- may work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and weekends

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

Minimum of a High school diploma/GED or successful completion of WIN Testing or completion of McLeod approved Transition to Work Program
