Job Description

Purpose

Analyze, track, and report supply chain health associated with major programs.

Key Interfaces

Global Supply Chain Analytics, Global Procurement, Divisional Leadership, and Functional Teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies for managing inventory, ensuring efficient use and minimizing financial effects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and operations, to identify and address inventory issues.Conduct regular analysis of inventory levels, demand patterns, and market trends to forecast potential inventory risks.Liaise with suppliers and negotiate return, disposal, or re-purposing of inventory, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.Apply inventory improvement methods, like predicting demand, managing safety stocks, and categorizing inventory, to reduce surplus and outdated stock.Engage with internal team members to uncover root causes of excess and obsolete inventory and establish preventive actions to avoid future issues.Develop and maintain important metrics to measure and track inventory management performance.Monitor and analyze inventory aging, obsolescence, and write-off trends, providing regular reports and recommendations to management.Stay informed about industry guidelines, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements pertaining to inventory management.Train and mentor junior supply chain staff on effective inventory management techniques.

Experience & Qualification

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus.Proven experience of 2+ years as a Supply Chain Specialist or similar role, with a focus on inventory management.Profound understanding of inventory management principles, methodologies, and guidelines.Proficient analytical and problems-solving abilities, capable of dissecting intricate data and recognizing trends and patterns.Proficiency in using inventory management software and data analysis tools.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working well with internal and external collaborators.Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines.Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Inventory Management (CPIM) are a plus.
