Job Description
As a Supply Chain Operations Specialist, you will provide essential tactical support to the Purchasing and Supply Chain team. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the continuity of daily operations, ensuring that indirect spend is managed efficiently, and resolving administrative bottlenecks within the supply chain. You will act as a key liaison between internal departments and external vendors to ensure materials and services flow without interruption.
ResponsibilitiesIndirect Spend Management: Process purchase requisitions for indirect materials and services, ensuring accuracy and alignment with internal budgets.Vendor Onboarding: Facilitate the new vendor setup process, including collecting necessary documentation (W-9s, certifications) and ensuring data integrity within the ERP system.MRB & RTV Processing: Manage the Return to Vendor (RTV) process for non-conforming materials currently held in the Material Review Board (MRB), ensuring timely credits or replacements.Buyer Support: Relieve Buyer burden by managing the 'Furnished Material' process, tracking movement and documentation for components supplied to external partners.Expediting & Follow-up: Proactively follow up on unconfirmed Purchase Orders (POs) and past-due deliveries to maintain schedule integrity.Inventory & Kanban Support: Assist with projects related to Kanban card maintenance, including physical audits and data updates to ensure lean replenishment cycles.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve tactical roadblocks in the procurement cycle.Perform special projects/tasks as assignedEssential SkillsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).2+ years of experience in a purchasing, expediting, or supply chain support role.ERP Proficiency: Direct experience working within an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is required.Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsTactical Execution: High attention to detail with the ability to manage repetitive tasks without losing accuracy.Problem Solving: Ability to identify discrepancies in shipping, billing, or material documentation and resolve them independently.Communication: Clear professional communication for frequent interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders.Software Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (v-lookups and basic data manipulation).Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment with occasional exposure to the manufacturing floor. This is a temporary 12-week assignment with the potential for extension based on business needs.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
