As a Quality & Food Safety Specialist, you will be a critical guardian of our product integrity and consumer trust. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our site's quality and food safety management systems consistently meet and exceed internal standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations across all production lines. This position is central to driving continuous improvement through effective quality management, HACCP coordination, and robust consumer complaint resolution.

Plant Quality and Food Safety Leadership:
Lead the execution of plant quality and food safety activities across all stages of product conversion, ensuring materials, processes, and finished goods consistently meet specifications, local procedures, and regulatory requirements.Conduct thorough verification of inspection activities throughout production, confirming compliance of processes, procedures, products, materials, equipment, and practices with established standards.Actively participate in internal audits, HACCP, TACCP (Threat Assessment Critical Control Points), VACCP (Vulnerability Assessment Critical Control Points), and Special Situations teams.Quality Improvement & Investigation:
Investigate product complaints received from trade and consumers, collaborating with the plant team to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Resolve quality defects by leading investigations into non-conforming materials and products, determining appropriate disposition, and recommending corrective actions.Provide regular, accurate updates to the Quality Manager on the status of the Quality System, facilitating performance tracking, recommending corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Implement technical services, including product development support, product specification review and validation, and commissioning of new processes and equipment.Monitor and provide accurate, timely analysis of quality and food safety performance data and issues.Champion a strong quality and food safety culture throughout the plant.Undertake other assignments related to quality and food safety as required.Document Control & Compliance:
Ensure robust quality system compliance with HACCP, ISO, QCMS standards, and regulatory requirements through diligent verification of practices, documents, records, and procedures.Supply Chain Quality Support:
Conduct reviews and confirm dispositions for returned products from customers, ensuring appropriate and timely documentation.Training & Development:
Deliver comprehensive training to staff on Quality, Food Safety, and Regulatory requirements.Provide hands-on, on-the-job training covering critical areas such as HACCP, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Extraneous Matter Management, traceability, allergen management, food defense, etc.Education / Certifications:
Relevant tertiary qualification in food science or technology (e.g., Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Technology), Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.Minimum of 3 - 5 years of proven experience in analytical quality control/microbiology and quality assurance functions within the food manufacturing industry.Strong proficiency in ISO 9001:2015 is essential. Specific industry standards such as QCMS, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, and GLP are required for manufacturing roles, with auditing experience preferred.Knowledge of statistical process control is an advantage. Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite.Job specific requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively train staff and engage with various stakeholders.High precision in auditing, documentation, and process mapping is crucial.Demonstrated ability to investigate non-conformances, identify risks, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.Timely and effective decision-making capabilities.Proactive in suggesting and implementing improvements.Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and expertly manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Work schedule:
