【職務内容】
本ポジションでは、アマゾン自社輸送網の幹線輸送(ミドルマイル)トラック運行計画業務、配車計画業務を担って頂きます。運行計画業務とは、週次で発行される物量予測をもとに、運行数・運行時刻を決定し、運送会社に発注を行う業務です。配車計画業務とは、各トラックが運行するルートを計画する業務です。週次でこれらの業務を行いながら、その業務プロセスを改善するプロジェクトの遂行も行います。社内の事業計画部門、システム開発部門、財務部門、オペレーション部門に加え、社外の運送会社、3PLなどの取引先企業と協力しながら、業務に取り組みます。

In this position, you will be responsible for truck route planning and dispatch planning for Amazon's middle-mile transportation network. Route planning involves determining the number of trips and scheduling based on weekly volume forecasts, and placing orders with transportation companies. Dispatch planning involves planning specific routes for each truck. While performing these weekly tasks, you will also execute projects to improve these operational processes. You will work in collaboration with internal stakeholders (including Business Planning, Systems Development, Finance, and Operations teams) as well as external partners such as transportation companies and 3PL providers.
[Note: 3PL stands for Third-Party Logistics]
Key job responsibilities

■運行計画業務・配車計画業務に関するデータ分析、課題発見、課題への対応
幹線輸送トラックの台数や運行時刻、ルートの最適化に向け、データを分析し、課題を発見します。自部門で解決できる課題に関しては、自らプロジェクトを立ち上げて取り組みます。課題の原因が他部門にある場合は、エスカレーションを行い、他部門にて課題解決を実行するように働きかけます。課題の解決が、システム開発など中長期のリードタイムを要するものは、中長期計画で改善の計画を策定します。

- Continuously improve existing processes to adapt to rapid business expansion and changes
■ Data Analysis, Problem Identification, and Problem-Solving for Transportation Planning
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for optimization in truck fleet size, scheduling, and routing
- Launch and lead improvement projects for issues that can be resolved within the department
- Escalate issues to other departments when root causes lie outside the team's direct control, and work to ensure resolution
- Develop medium to long-term improvement plans for issues requiring extended lead times (such as system development)
