Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a strategic and results-driven Supply Chain Product Life Cycle Manager to lead the governance and execution of our end-to-end product lifecycle. This critical leadership role will orchestrate our portfolio strategy from new product introduction to end-of-life, ensuring alignment across all business units, including retail, wholesale, e-commerce, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of vertically integrated supply chains and a proven ability to translate business goals into disciplined, data-driven lifecycle processes. What You’ll Do
Lifecycle Governance & Process Ownership:
Translate the quarterly LCM playbook into operational routines, ensuring tight integration with our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycles. Own and refine all lifecycle stage-gates (Launch, Active, Transition, EOL), incorporating risk registers, financial linkages, and portfolio health metrics. Develop and maintain lifecycle scorecards, dashboards, and decision registers using DDI (Decision, Discussion, Information) protocols to drive accountability.Portfolio & Channel Execution:
Lead disciplined portfolio reviews focused on launch excellence, active SKU health, and end-of-life rationalization. Drive channel-specific lifecycle actions across retail, wholesale, licensee, and e-commerce, addressing assortment, planogram compliance, cost-to-serve, and conflict resolution. Partner with manufacturing and supply planning teams to align production, cost structures, and capacity utilization with portfolio strategies.Operational Leadership & Performance Management:
Establish and lead disciplined management routines (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to monitor and improve lifecycle performance. Identify and implement automation opportunities in reporting, exception management, and decision tracking. Analyze market trends, competitive insights, and customer feedback to inform lifecycle strategies and product roadmaps.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:
Act as the central bridge between key stakeholders in Demand Planning, Supply, Merchandising, Finance, Manufacturing, and New Product Development (NPD). Facilitate structured discussions to resolve cross-channel conflicts related to pricing, exclusivity, and customer experience. Build and lead the LCM function, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification in project management (PMP, PgMP, or PfMP). Proven track record leading complex, multi-functional projects tied to portfolio and lifecycle outcomes. Direct experience in a vertically integrated industry, managing across retail, wholesale, e-commerce, and manufacturing channels. Advanced understanding of product lifecycle management, category/portfolio strategies, and manufacturing economics. Proficiency in financial modeling (margin, inventory, working capital). Advanced analytical problem-solving, portfolio governance, and cross-functional facilitation skills.Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering. Formal training in lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Stage-Gate, PACE). Experience with portfolio management systems and lifecycle dashboards.Success in This Role Looks Like:
Achieving >95% on-time product launches with ±10% forecast accuracy at 30 days. Maintaining service levels at >98% while keeping obsolete inventory below 5%. Optimizing working capital and ensuring markdowns remain within budget. Delivering all lifecycle reviews and decisions 100% on time within the IBP cadence.
