The Professional & Direct Hire Division of Spherion Mid Ohio is partnered with a small but mighty manufacturing organization in Ashland County, Ohio that has been making major upgrades and investments in its operations. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a role where you are seen, heard, and able to make a big impact on both strategy and daily operations. Compensation is up to $100K annually, depending on experience.

We are seeking a Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to oversee procurement, materials, and logistics. In this role, you will guide a small team while ensuring smooth operations from sourcing to shipping. The right leader will be both a big-picture thinker and a hands-on problem solver, with strong ERP expertise and a collaborative approach.
What You Will Do
Lead procurement efforts, negotiating and sourcing materials, equipment, and services to align with production needs. Oversee logistics activities from inbound receipts to outbound finished goods ensuring cost effective and on time delivery. Manage inventory levels, forecasts, and planning to optimize material flow and minimize excess. Leverage ERP systems (Acumatica highly preferred) and Excel to analyze data, drive process improvements, and provide actionable insights to leadership. Mentor and grow a team of three (buyers and shipping and receiving clerk) while collaborating across all departments. Contribute strategically while also willing to roll up your sleeves even helping on the warehouse floor when needed.What You Bring
5+ years of procurement, logistics, or supply chain leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. ERP software background is essential (Acumatica most advantageous). Strong Microsoft Excel skills required. Data driven and analytical mindset with proven process improvement results. Leadership experience with the ability to empower and develop a small team.
