Our client, a well-established and evolving company in the pharmaceutical sector, is seeking a Supply Chain Optimization and Inventory Manager to support the organization’s operational performance and GMP-compliant inventory strategy. This leadership role plays a critical function in ensuring product availability, minimizing waste, and maintaining alignment between inventory and regulatory, quality, and commercial demand. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Demand and Supply Planning, the Manager will lead strategic inventory planning while collaborating across quality, manufacturing, procurement, and commercial operations to enhance visibility and drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with quality, regulatory, supply planning, manufacturing, and commercial teams to align inventory with production schedules, forecasts, and market demand Proactively identify slow-moving or at-risk inventory and lead cross-functional reviews for timely disposition Participate in S&OP and IBP processes, sharing inventory insights and risk scenarios Support cross-functional scenario modeling tied to supply disruptions, batch variability, and market dynamicsSystem Management & Process Improvement
Leverage ERP and reporting tools to drive insights and inventory optimization opportunities Lead or contribute to initiatives focused on reducing excess inventory, improving GMP compliance, and streamlining supply chain operations Ensure inventory reconciliation and accuracy across internal systems and third-party logistics providers Oversee cycle counting, batch tracking, and inventory audit processes in accordance with regulatory and internal standardsThe successful candidate has:
7+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or operations within a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare manufacturing) A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Life Sciences, or related field Strong data analytics skills with the ability to work with complex datasets and systems Proficiency with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and reporting tools such as Excel and PowerBI Familiarity with GMP, inventory modeling, and lean or Six Sigma principles Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment Strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills APICS certification (CPIM or CLTD) and experience in GMP-regulated operations are assets What you can expect from the company: Salary range: $100,000- $115,000 plus bonuses A mission-driven, growth-oriented organization in a complex industry Comprehensive health and wellness benefits Opportunities to work with cross-functional leadership and shape strategic initiatives A culture that supports innovation, learning, and continuous improvementCandidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
