We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.
Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering Team
The Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering team is responsible for managing the supply base for Bell and supporting all aircraft programs.
This includes both tactical (technical support for specific parts, assemblies, or programs at a supplier and strategic efforts) and strategic (enterprise-level efforts not specifically related to any part, assembly, or program).
The overall mission is to ensure material availability in support of all Bell Assembly and Manufacturing facilities that meet quality and safety standards.
This position requires a strong understanding of process engineering in manufacturing to support supply chain.
This role is on site in Fort Worth, TX.
What you’ll be doing as a Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer:
· Identify, investigate, and resolve supplier related technical issues both at Bell manufacturing sites and at suppliers
· Advise internal customers on supplier capabilities and capacities to assist with supplier selection
· Able to perform producibility analysis for new designs
· Conduct manufacturing trade studies to determine cost effective solutions to complex manufacturing technical objectives
· Identify and resolve capability gaps in Bell’s supply base
· Assess new supplier capability and readiness to provide materials to Bell
· Review root cause corrective action for supplier material discrepancy submittals
· Due to the need to support a large number of suppliers,this role could require up to 50% travel both domestic and international.
· Work through a disciplined approach in initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing tasks and projects to achieve goals
· Mentors and shares manufacturing technology with teammates and colleagues

· Excellent communication skills are required.
· The ability to identify and prioritize both explicit and implicit tasks
· The willingness to seize the initiative to recognize and solve problems
· Proficient in MS Office productivity tools
What you need to be successful:
· Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or relevant/relateddisciplines required.
· At least 3 years of engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing or other manufacturing industry.
· A technical understanding of non-metallic and metallic processes, tooling, and engineering design.
· Proficient in using CAD for part viewing
· Basic knowledge of GDT
· Able to build and maintain effective relationships with peers, internal and external customers, suppliers, and brief leaders/customers.
· Ability to Travel up to 50% is required
· Ability to perform producibility analysis and trade studies preferred
· Knowledge of Industry Manufacturing Execution Systems - process specifications, production planning, material requirements scheduling, and material kitting and handling preferred.
