Supply Chain Manager (m/f/d)

As a result of internal movement, we now have an opportunity to recuit a Supply Chain Manager to Danfoss Editron, with this role being based in either our sites in Lappeenranta, Finland, or Hamburg, Germany.  Other European locations where Danfoss Power Solutions has a footprint may also be considered.  The role will involve some international travel (up to 20-30%).

 

The Supply Chain Manager will play a leading role in end-to-end supply chain performance across the Business Unit’s global footprint, including strategic planning, logistics, inventory management, S&OP, and supplier relationship management. The role ensures alignment between supply chain operations and business objectives to enable profitable growth, cost competitiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning:

Develop and execute a global supply chain strategy aligned with BU business goals, including localization and aligning dual/multi-sourcing strategies with the Procurement team. Support the S&OP process for the Business Unit, ensuring cross-functional alignment and responsiveness to market dynamics.

 

Operational Excellence

Drive on-time delivery, inventory optimization, and supply continuity through strong planning and execution processes. Ensure a resilient and competitive supply chain by balancing cost-down initiatives with delivery reliability and risk mitigation across sourcing, logistics, and fulfillment. Monitor key supply chain KPIs (OTD, inventory, delayed orders, etc.) and implement improvement initiatives. Ensure rollout of Danfoss standard processes across the global EDITRON footprint.

 

Manage optimal footprint operations

Manage global supplier base performance and development in collaboration with procurement. Continuously improve the supply chain footprint to support operations, strategic development, and New Product Development, ensuring readiness and flexibility in a dynamic environment.

 

People & Capability Development

Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain professionals across the business. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 

Leadership

Take full ownership of cross-functional projects that improve order management, transport setup, and end-to-end performance across Procurement, Operations, and Sales. Act as the supply chain representative in the BU leadership team, collaborating closely with Product Management, Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Finance. Support new product introductions (NPI) and project execution from a supply chain readiness perspective. Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

University degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field Demonstrable experience supply chain or related role within an industrial or manufacturing environment, with leadership experience in global, multi-site operations and end-to-end supply chain transformation. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects, influence without authority, and drive sustainable improvements in a matrixed organization. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a strategic mindset and operational hands-on capability. Strong knowledge of ERP systems (must be SAP), BI tools, and project management software. Self-driven, accountable, and structured—able to balance process discipline with agility in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Fluent in business English, with excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills across cultures and seniority levels. Willingness to travel as required within role.
