Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager – India is responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations within India, while anchoring the regional Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA).
This role ensures alignment between demand and supply, enhances operational resilience, and supports scalable business growth. The incumbent will drive excellence in planning, logistics, and warehousing while fostering cross-functional collaboration to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction and build a future-ready supply chain organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership
Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations in India, including demand planning, supply planning, production scheduling, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics (including import & export), ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence.
2. Regional S&OP Ownership
Lead and facilitate the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across India, Middle East, and Africa, ensuring alignment between commercial, supply chain, and finance teams for accurate forecasting and balanced planning.
3. Operational Excellence & Resilience
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain agility, optimize processes, mitigate risks, and ensure business continuity across dynamic markets.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with commercial, finance, manufacturing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
5. Team Leadership & Talent Development
Build and lead a high-performing team by fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous development, while mentoring future leaders.
6. Performance Management & Reporting
Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain effectiveness and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
Functional Expertise
Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations including planning, procurement, warehousing, and logistics Deep expertise in S&OP / Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Experience in demand forecasting and supply-demand balancing Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced planning tools Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilitiesEducation & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field MBA or postgraduate qualification (preferred) APICS / CPIM certification (preferred)Professional Experience
10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management Minimum 3 years in a leadership role Proven experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food, pharmaceuticals, or similar fast-paced industries Hands-on experience with automated demand and supply planning systemsBusiness & Technical Competencies
