Position: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Stafford Springs, CT, onsite
Schedule: Days M-F / on-call as needed

Division / Site Specific Information

This role supports Thermo Fisher Scientific’s supply chain operations, leading beginning to end production planning and execution for Operations at the Stafford Springs site, working with Finance, and other key stakeholders to drive end-to-end supply chain excellence. The Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in ensuring reliable product availability while optimizing inventory, maintaining inventory accuracy, service levels, and cost performance across the network.

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will provide strategic leadership across end-to-end supply chain operations, guiding cross-functional teams to enhance customer service, optimize inventory, and drive continuous improvement. You’ll contribute to transformation and innovation while building scalable, efficient supply chain strategies at a company known for integrity, innovation, and involvement.

A Day in the Life

Lead end-to-end supply chain operations including production planning, supply planning, inventory management, cycle count accuracy, and S&OPDevelop and execute supply chain strategies that balance service excellence, operational efficiency, and cost optimizationPartner cross-functionally with Business, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to align supply chain priorities with business objectivesLead and develop supply chain teams, fostering engagement, accountability, and continuous improvementDrive process optimization initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologiesAnalyze supply chain data and KPIs to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunitiesEnsure effective use of ERP systems to support planning, execution, and reportingManage change initiatives and support supply chain transformation effortsBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners

Keys to Success

Education

Advanced Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience ORBachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experiencePreferred fields of study: Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplineProfessional certifications preferred (APICS CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma)

Experience

Experience leading end-to-end supply chain operations in a complex environmentMinimum of 3 years of direct report leadership and team development experienceProven success in achieving KPIs related to service levels, inventory optimization and accuracy, and cost managementExperience implementing continuous improvement and process optimization initiativesExperience working in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or regulated industries preferredExperience managing change in dynamic, fast-paced environments

Knowledge

Deep understanding of supply chain processes including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and S&OPKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems

Skills

Strong proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar) and advanced Excel skillsStrong project management, change management, and analytical capabilitiesExcellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skillsClear and effective verbal and written communication skills

Abilities

Ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable strategiesAbility to develop and maintain strong internal and external partnershipsStrong problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to travel up to 10% as needed

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $103,100.00–$154,700.00.
