Job Title: Materials Manager

Job Description

The Materials Manager is responsible for directing and supporting operations to ensure the timely delivery of raw and purchased components, superior quality, and competitive pricing. This role oversees personnel involved in purchasing and distributing materials, components, and supplies, either directly or through subordinates.

ResponsibilitiesDirect and support operations to ensure timely delivery of raw and purchased components.Ensure superior quality and competitive pricing of materials.Oversee personnel involved in purchasing and distributing materials, components, and supplies.Manage and streamline materials management, distribution management, logistics, and supply chain processes.Coordinate equipment procurement and budgeting processes.Supervise inventory and warehouse management, material flow, and shipping and receiving activities.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and 3–5 years of related experience.Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.Strong communication and organizational skills.Experience in inventory management, logistics, and shipping/receiving.Background in plastic materials and processing.Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with injection mold design is preferred.Work Environment

The work environment requires regular talking and hearing, frequent standing, walking, handling objects, and reaching. Occasionally, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or smelling may be required. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The environment includes occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions, with generally quiet noise levels.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clyde, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $60.09/hr.
