Supply Chain Manager
At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world. Job Overview TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals. Responsibilities

•Tracking and controlling supply chain KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring necessary proactive measures are taken to close gaps to meet the budget.

•Maintaining stable and sustainable collaboration with external vendors to ensure sufficient replenishment of raw materials and facilities while remaining within budget requirements.

•Overseeing the performance of managers and teams. Identifying and addressing staff training and development needs.

•Identifying capacity constraints, driving capacity to avoid supply and demand gaps, and ensuring implementation of production plans or processes to meet customer requests.

 

Required Level Extensive Experience:

•Updates stakeholders on potential changes; re-negotiates requirements as necessary.

•Develops contingency plans or to improve processes and to avoid problems before they occur.

•Evaluates linkages and interrelationships when prioritizing multiple responsibilities.

•Tracks the implementation of plans closely to ensure that desired outcomes are achieved.

•Demonstrates the value and necessity of linking tactical plans to overall strategic plan.

•Ensures the planning process is integrated with the overall business plan.• Prioritizes data-driven decision-making over consensus-driven decision-making.

•Empowers employees to take calculated risks by minimizing the consequences of failure.

•Participates in the design or integration of a warehouse and logistics network.

•Ensures all distribution activities are met with sales or production needs, and in compliance with processes.

•Guides others on conducting distribution network analysis and network modeling.

 

Education and Experience

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with 12 or more years of experience; or Masters degree with 10 or more years of experience; or PhD level with 6 or more years of experience; or local equivalent
