They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals. Responsibilities

•Tracking and controlling supply chain KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring necessary proactive measures are taken to close gaps to meet the budget.

•Maintaining stable and sustainable collaboration with external vendors to ensure sufficient replenishment of raw materials and facilities while remaining within budget requirements.

•Overseeing the performance of managers and teams. Identifying and addressing staff training and development needs.

•Identifying capacity constraints, driving capacity to avoid supply and demand gaps, and ensuring implementation of production plans or processes to meet customer requests.

•Guides others on conducting distribution network analysis and network modeling.

 

Education and Experience

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with 12 or more years of experience; or Masters degree with 10 or more years of experience; or PhD level with 6 or more years of experience; or local equivalent
